The girls have been asking to go drive around to look at Christmas lights. We have a zoo pass this year and zoo-lights is included in our pass, so I thought it would be fun to take the girls. Our week this week is crazy, busy and Scott didn't have a night he could go, so I decided to take the girls alone...It opened at 5 and we got there at 6 to an already full parking lot, which meant we had to take the shuttle from down the freeway. As we are driving to the shuttle lot I am thinking, is this really going to be worth all the effort, four kids, a stroller, 30 weeks pregnant, climbing onto a school bus with a crazy driver who slammed on the brakes right before each speed bump we went over. Two hours later (from the time we left our house) we make it into the zoo, to see the lights. It was very pretty and the girls had a great time. Matt and Merrilee ended up meeting us there with their kids and of course, they got a parking spot close and didn't have to take the shuttle! The girls loved it and thought it was beautiful. Maddie, as always, was a huge help and happy to be there. It was cold, but we had a good time.
