We thought it would be fun to go through the Ape caves on a really hot day. The drive there was fun because the kids were excited to go. Mae kept talking about the "Cowiwa's" we were going to see and it took forever to realize she was expecting to see Gorilla's in the ape caves. There are two tunnels. We took the lower one which is about 3/4 of a mile to the end. Everyone had their own flashlights and Will was in the carrier. About 3/4 of the way into the caves, Will was done being in the pack and so I decided to turn around and take him and Mae back out to wait for Scott and the big girls. Will cried and screamed the whole way back and Mae was singing and talking the whole way. Mae, made my whole trip fun because she is always so happy.
